How do I set my 2825/2111 to factory default settings?
- A:
Hardware method : Power on your 2825/2111. Push a paper clip or similar object against the right most button next to the Ethernet ports for more than 8 seconds.
Software method : Connect to WebUI. Click “Maintenance” then “Reset Now” will factory default your 2825/2111 and reboot.

How do I recover forgotten password?

Reset your unit to the factory default settings and type in default login ID and password which are printed on the label at the bottom of your units.

What is the difference between Video WLAN and Data WLAN?
- A:
The VF2825 and VF2111 are designed and optimized for IPTV service and when you auto provision 2111 to 2825, wireless parameters for the Video WLAN are synchronized. The 2825 supports two WLANs: one is Video WLAN and the other is Data WLAN. The Video WLAN runs in bridge mode and the Data WLAN in router mode. LAN ports 1 to 4 belong to Data WLAN.
If you connect your laptop (or any computer devices) to 2111 which connects to 2825 Video WLAN, you have to have a DHCP server that provides IP address to devices connected to your 2111.
However, if you configure your 2111 to connect to Data WLAN, then your laptop will receive IP address from 2825, and you should be able to ping and manage 2825 by typing 192.168.1.1 from the browswer on your laptop.

How do i configure 2111 to connect to Data WLAN of the 2825?
- A:
- Configure your PC with a static IP 192.168.0.100,
- Log into 2111 by typing 192.168.0.254 into URL window of the browser on your PC. Use the super user login credential,
- Disable Auto provisioning from Admin page,
- Configure SSID and encryption method to match those of Data WLAN of 2825,
- Save the configuration change by clicking Update button and reboot the 2111,
- Make sure you change your PC to obtain IP address automatically.

Can I connect VF2111 to MF2900?
- A:
Yes. Follow the auto provisioning process.

How do I auto provision 2825 and 2111?
- A:
- To auto provision 2825 and 2111,
- factory reset 2111,
- connect an Ethernet cable between 2111 and 2825,
- wait for about 30 seconds or until right most two LEDs are off on 2111,
- remove the Ethernet cable, and wait for 2111 to reboot.

Can I connect my 2111 to non Ruckus AP?
- A:
Your target 3rd party AP must support WDS 4 Address mode. Otherwise it won’t work. To check if it supports WDS 4 address mode or not, please check with your 3rd party AP vendor.

Default transmit power on Ruckus devices is 200 mW (23 dBm).
