Question

Do I have to follow an Upgrade path to perform firmware upgrade on Standalone APs

Customer Environment

Standalone AP running on Any firmware version and customer want to change it to other stand alone firmware version.

There is no upgrade path for performing firmware upgrades on Standalone APs. The Upgrade Path KB articles only apply to ZoneDirectors. You can upgrade the AP from any version to any more recent version.

For example: We can directly upgrade from version 9.3.2.0.3 to 9.8.2.0.15

Note: Above is only true for Stand alone to stand alone firmware, like 100.x/101.x/110.x/104.x/106.x to 9.x/10.x/3.x/5.x. Changing it to Unleashed will make that AP an Unleashed master under a single AP setup.
