Telnet into an AP

Can we telnet into an AP ?Resolution
I had a query from a customer that , Can we telnet into an AP ?The answer is "NO" . We can only telnet to a ZD but not to an AP , However we can SSH into an AP for any kind of troubleshooting.
You can SSH using any terminal emulator like PUTTY or TERA TERM and login using the administrative credentials.
