ZD 10.0 default address issue if no DHCP/Static IP

Summary

There is a known issue on ZD version 10.0.0.0 that if ZoneDirector isn’t assigned a static IP address, neither offered an IPv4 address from a DHCP server, the ZoneDirector self-assigns 192.168.0.1 as its IPv4 address, rather than 192.168.0.2 IP address that it is supposed to use.

Question

What could cause my ZD 10.0 controller to have incorrect default IP address?

Customer Environment

ZoneDirector 10.0 (GA) firmware and new deployment.

Root Cause

There is a known issue on ZD version 10.0.0.0 that if ZoneDirector isn’t assigned a static IP address, neither offered an IPv4 address from a DHCP server, the ZoneDirector self-assigns 192.168.0.1 as its IPv4 address, rather than 192.168.0.2 IP address that it is supposed to use. [ZF-17268]

Workaround

Workaround: Either have a DHCP server to assign IP address or to statically configure an IP address on the ZoneDirector.
