Root Cause

This 10G-SFPP-TX-A transceiver consumes significantly more power than typical 10G transceivers.

Symptoms

system instability and/or reboots

Troubleshooting Steps

run show media to check for   10G-SFPP-TX-A  and the number of this types of transceivers.

For example: If you are using four 10G-SFPP-TX-A, you must leave four SFP+ ports empty.

Resolution

Please follow the guidelines provided in Table 1 below to avoid a power violation. For each 10G-SFPP-TX-A installed, another SFP+ slot MUST be left empty.
For example: If you are using four 10G-SFPP-TX-A, you must leave four SFP+ ports empty.
