vDP does not drop packets with DF flag enabled on R5.2.2

Summary

vDP R3.6 dropped packets with DF flag enabled, but vDP R5.2.2 did not drop with DF flag enabled

Question

Is vDP feature changed for handling Don't Fragment packets?

Customer Environment

vDP R5.2.2 R3.6.2

Resolution

As Release note of R5.1.1 explains in "Changed Behavior", an enhancement is added.
Before this enhancement, vDP will drop packets with DF flag enabled.
After this enhancement, vDP will send ICMP type-3/code-4 packets to a sender so that a sender can reduce packet size or disable DF flag.
