Customer Environment

Standby ZD in Smart Redundancy is defective and has to be replaced

Resolution

Steps:
1.Upgrade/downgrade the controller firmware to match Primary ZD
2.Set IP address for the backup controller and bring it up on the network and ensure reachability to the active/ primary controller
3.Browse to the new controller and add smart redundancy settings
4. Select 'Sync from Peer' to pull the config from Primary/Active controller
 

Note:
1. Do take a backup of the configuration before this activity
2. Make sure that the software version of both the ZDs is the same
3. Schedule a maintenance window for this activity
4. Use Chrome or Firefox to configure the controller
