How to activate Ruckus Cloud & Analytics licenses with 180 Day Grace Activation Period

Resolution

This 180 days grace period activation is applicable for orders post 10th of August 2022
The scope of this activation work flow is applicable for stand alone or bundled Ruckus Cloud & Analytics SKU's.


Use case #1 Activation workflow for stand alone (Non-bundled) Ruckus Cloud & Analytics SKU’s
  • Open the Support Purchase Acknowledgement (SPA) email you have received from Ruckus/Disti/VAR for your order
    • You will notice the subscription start date is set to 180 days from the order date.
    • Customer will be allowed to select any date between today’s date up-to 180th day of Order date, i.e. Order date+180 days
    • Once the customer has selected the start date, the end date will auto adjust based on the subscription duration purchased.User-added image
  • Login to Ruckus support portal: https://support.ruckuswireless.com
  • Click the activation code in the email to activate.

  • Accept Terms and Conditions and click on "Activate Purchase

  • Click on the Hyperlink for the product code to register the cloud region

  • Select the region, start date then click on "Register & Bind To Support"
  • Customer will be allowed to select any date between today’s date up-to 180th day of Order date, i.e. Order date+180 days
  • Customer cannot select a Start Date that is beyond the 180th date and will be enforced to select the Start Date as 180th day.                           User-added image
  • We will get a confirmation as activated and the status changes to "Yes".

Use case #2 Activation workflow for bundled Ruckus Cloud & Analytics SKU’s
  • Open the Support Purchase Acknowledgement (SPA) email you have received from Ruckus/Disti/VAR for your order
    • You will notice the subscription start date is set to 180 days from the order date.
    • Customer will be allowed to select any date between today’s date up-to 180th day of Order date, i.e. Order date+180 days

  • If the order is for bundled SKU (CLD-BNDL-SZWA-REC1/3/5 or CLD-BNDL-RCAW-REC1/3/5) you must first activate Ruckus Analytics 
  • Click on the Hyperlink for the product code to register the cloud region

  • If it is a Analytics + Smartzone bundle SKU, by design, the default Controller deployment will be Smartzone and the other deployment Type (Cloud) will be greyed out.

  • If it is a Analytics + Ruckus Cloud bundle SKU, by design, the default Controller deployment will be Clous and the other deployment Type (Smartzone) will be greyed out.

  • Select the region, Start date and Controller Deployment Type then click on "Register & Bind To Support"
  • Customer will be allowed to select any date between today’s date up-to 180th day of Order date, i.e. Order date+180 days
  • Customer cannot select a Start Date that is beyond the 180th date and will be enforced to select the Start Date as 180th day.

  • If bundle SKU, follow the same steps to activate the other pending SKU's.
  • For the licenses to reflect in Ruckus Cloud/Analytics portal, click refresh in the license page of the cloud portal.
