Resolution

Ruckus Unleashed Multi-Site Manager (UMM) is a new NMS platform for Unleashed, ZoneDirector, P300 bridges. If you have Unleashed networks deployed across multiple small sites, Unleashed Multi-Site Manager is the one-stop solution for management, monitoring and reporting. It is a complete management platform that is intuitive and easy to use. It enables Unleashed networks to be securely monitored and managed from anywhere in the world with a single sign-on.

Three types of Software Licenses are available for UMM :

1. ZoneDirector and P300 APs
2. Unleashed APs
3. ICX switches

Note : ZoneDirector consumes the Unleashed Multi-Site Manager license based on its AP licenses. For example, a ZoneDirector 3000 licensed for 500 APs consumes 500 licenses though there are no APs managed by ZoneDirector.


2 ways of getting UMM :

1. Purchasing and installing new UMM 
   In this case, it is required to purchase licenses along with the UMM

2. Upgrading FM to UMM 2.x 
   If the FM is upgraded to UMM, the existing licenses on the FM gets migrated over to UMM 2.0

    

Note : An Unleashed Multi-Site Manager installation provides only one Unleashed license. If you upgrade from FlexMaster, Unleashed Multi-Site Manager provides 100 ZoneDirector licenses and one Unleashed license.


Uploading the Device License UMM
To enable the UMM license, you must first upload the license file to the UMM server.
1. Log in to Unleashed Multi-Site Manager
2. Select Administration > License.
3. Click Upload License. The Upload a license file dialog box is displayed.
4. Click Drop file here or click to upload file.
5. Select the license file and click Open.
6. Click OK to upload the license file to Unleashed Multi-Site Manager
