Does Ruckus save user's personal data in it's database

Summary

Ruckus cloud offers social media authentication for WLAN's. This article will provide an insight on how it is done and if the data is stored on Ruckus database.

Question

Is the user's social media authentication data stored in ruckus's database?

Customer Environment

Ruckus Cloud running on 20.05 version

Resolution

Ruckus uses OAuth2.0 for all of our social media authorization. Ruckus is acting as a pass through in this case. The client authentication takes place in the respective social media servers such as facebook/linkedin/google etc.
The login provider sends a OAuth2.0 token back to Ruckus saying whether the user is authorized or not to use your service. The username/password is NEVER shared to Ruckus as the social media accounts has their own terms and conditions regarding that with their clients.

The below link provides an explanation of what and how OAuth2.0 works.
