How to get serial number of vSCG/vSZ?

Customer Environment

Customers using Ruckus vSCG

Resolution

As vSCG is a virtual platform, the serial number of it is generated only after the complete installation.

Once the vSCG is successfully installed, to get the SN, you can either

Login to vSCG UI and click on System -> General Settings, OR
SSH into the vSCG and run show version command.

Below is a sample output of show version command:

testSCG# show version
Model:WSGvm
Serial#:xxxxxxxxxxxx // 24 digit serial number of the vSCG
SCG Version:2.5.0.1.174
AP Firmware Version:2.5.0.1.174
