No wireless when setting up my P300 link within 10ft
Summary
There's no wireless connection of the wireless link out of the box when setting the link within 10ft or in a lab environmentQuestion
Why is there no wireless link between my P300 when setup in lab or within 10ft of each other?Customer Environment
- P300 link - Configured Configuration / Wireless on both RB and NRB - running SW 100.1.0.9.46 - antenna pointing away from each other - bridges within 10ft of each other, lab setupRoot Cause
The issue of having the link too close is that the signal saturates the receiver front end and it's not able to establish link communication because there's too much signal.Troubleshooting Steps

When setting up the P300 in the lab, it is always recommended to turn down the transmit power of the RB and NRB to Minimum. We've seen instances when the signal is at 62dB of SNR. If we turn down the power to minimum and not point the antenna beam towards each other (back to back), the link is established. This change is done at the Configure / Wireless, then Advanced Options button. Once in Advanced options click on the drop down for Power and select Minimum. Again, this is for initial setup. When the link is ready to be deployed and if the link distance is lower than 1 km, it might be a good idea to lower the power to -3 or -6dB from max power.Article Number:
