What happens when my Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi AP license expires

Summary

Description of events when a Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi license expires

Question

What happens when my Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi AP license expires?

Customer Environment

All Ruckus Cloud Wi-Fi customers.

Workaround

Purchase/renew cloud subscription

Resolution

When a trial subscription is expired there will be no grace period.
An alarm will be raised 30 days prior to trial license expiration, also the admin will get a notification on a weekly basis until the occurrence of the expiration.
Once expired, all the APs of the tenant will be soft deleted and and factory reset, so it will not advertise any WLANs and will not be able to be provisioned from the portal using the expired trial account.

If the account is running on a paid subscription, the grace period of 60 days is provided after the license expiry (global parameter  is set to 60 days as default).
Like the trial account, an alarm is raised here as well, 30 days prior to the expiration. The admin will get a notification on a weekly basis until the occurrence of the license expiration.

After 30-days of expiry (grace period has ended), it does NOT allow dashboard access and all APs will continue to advertise WLANs. However, guest WLAN, DPSK functions will NOT be available, and will not be able to be provisioned from the portal using this expired account.
