RUCKUS One and RUCKUS AI GUI Not displaying correctly due to browser window size or zoom settings

Question

Why is the RUCKUS One or RUCKUS AI GUI not displaying correctly after login?

Customer Environment

RUCKUS One RUCKUS AI Supported web browsers Desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile devices

Symptoms

  • GUI does not load completely after login
  • Configuration panels or navigation menus are missing
  • Page formatting appears distorted or incomplete
  • The following message is displayed:
"Hey, you are missing the bigger picture. The screen width seems to be too low (minimal supported width is 1280px)."

Root Cause

The browser viewport width is below the minimum supported width required by the RUCKUS One and RUCKUS AI user interface. This condition may occur when: The browser window is not maximized The browser zoom level is greater than 100% The display resolution is below the recommended setting The application is accessed from a device with limited screen width

Workaround

If immediate access is required, click "Let me continue with sub-optimal display" on the warning page. The GUI will load; however, some interface elements may not be displayed optimally due to the reduced viewport width.

Resolution

Use one of the following methods to meet the minimum display requirements:
 
  1. Maximize the browser window
    • Click the browser's maximize button to expand the browser window to full screen.
    • Refresh the page if the GUI does not automatically render correctly.
  2. Adjust the browser zoom level
    • Reduce the browser zoom level to 100% or lower.
    • Common keyboard shortcuts:
      • Ctrl + 0 to reset zoom to 100% (Windows)
      • Ctrl + - to zoom out (Windows)
      • Cmd + 0 to reset zoom to 100% (macOS)
      • Cmd + - to zoom out (macOS)
    • Refresh the page after adjusting the zoom level.
  3. Continue with a reduced display width
    • On the warning page, click "Let me continue with sub-optimal display".
    • The application will continue to load despite the reduced viewport width.
    • Some GUI elements may appear compressed or may not display optimally.
  4. Increase display resolution
    • Configure the endpoint display resolution to 1280 pixels wide or greater.
  5. Use landscape orientation
    • For tablets or mobile devices, rotate the device to landscape mode to increase the available screen width.
