Symptoms

When a new instance of vSZ/SZ is installed, or when an existing vSZ/SZ is upgraded to new version, two default capacity licenses are automatically added:

• CAPACITY-DP-SNAT-DEFAULT
• CAPACITY-DP-SVDS-DEFAULT

Built-in NAT and DHCP Capacity

These default licenses include:

• NAT (CAPACITY-DP-SNAT-DEFAULT): Provides 100K NAT sessions built-in for 90 days starting from the installation date.
• DHCP (CAPACITY-DP-SVDS-DEFAULT): Provides 1K IP leases built-in for 90 days starting from the installation date.

 

Licensing Beyond the Initial Period

To continue using NAT and DHCP functions beyond the initial 90-day period or to expand capacity, customers need to purchase additional licenses. The licensing structure is designed to be flexible, allowing increments to match the specific needs of different deployments.

Purchasing Additional NAT Licenses

For NAT functions, customers should purchase the L09-vSZD-SNAT license. Each unit of this license represents 100K NAT sessions. These licenses are incremental add-ons and can be applied per Data Plane, allowing scalability up to 2 million flows.

• L09-vSZD-SNAT: Virtual Data Plane – NAT Service (100K Sessions Incremental ADD-ON per Data Plane)

Purchasing Additional DHCP Licenses

For DHCP functions, customers should purchase the L09-vSZD-SVDS/L09-VSZD-SDHP license. Each unit of this license represents 1K IP leases. These licenses are incremental add-ons and apply up to 2 Data Planes.

• L09-vSZD-SVDS: Virtual Data Plane – DHCP Service (1K IP Address Leases Incremental ADD-ON – Applies up to 2 Data Planes)

Summary of License Units

• 1 DHCP License Unit (L09-vSZD-SVDS/L09-VSZD-SDHP): Represents 1K IP leases.
• 1 NAT License Unit (L09-vSZD-SNAT): Represents 100K NAT sessions.
