SZ104 SZ124 SZ144Root Cause
There are two buttons on the SZ controllers, Reset and F/D. Reset button will reboot the device and f/d button will factory reset the device.Symptoms
- Press and hold of reset button will not factory reset the device, This will only restart the deviceĀ
- Customer is confused with the "reset" button label vs FD.
Resolution
For SZ104 and SZ124 models, Below are the details of F/D (button 4) and Reset (button 13).
- Button 4 is called the f/d button which factory defaults / factory resets the device
- F/D (factory default) button. Press this button for at least 10 seconds to reset the controller to factory default settings.
- Button 13 is reset which is for restarting the deviceĀ
- Reset button. Press for 5 seconds to restart the SZ 100
For SZ144, it is slightly in different location than other two models.
