Customers using RUCKUS One to manage ICX7xxx, ICX8200, or ICX8100 series switches.Symptoms
Root Cause
The ICX switch is not running the minimum required firmware version to initiate onboarding to RUCKUS One.Troubleshooting Steps
- Run the following command on the switch to confirm the active firmware:
show version - Verify the switch firmware meets the minimum onboarding requirement:
- ICX7xxx Series: 08.0.90d (UFI) minimum
- ICX8200 / ICX8100: 10.0.10f_cd1R1 minimum
- For managed firmware upgrades: RUCKUS One uses 09.0.10h as the managed baseline (do not manually upgrade unless directed by Support)
Resolution
Minimum Firmware Requirements
To onboard to RUCKUS One, ICX switches must meet the following minimum versions:

Upgrade Requirements if Running Older Firmware
If the switch is running below 08.0.90d (ICX7xxx):
Perform manual upgrades using the following recommended paths:

If running 08.0.80 flat ? 08.0.90c
Upgrade directly to 08.0.95ca (UFI) -
If running 08.0.70 patch or earlier:
Multi?step upgrade required:08.0.70 (or older) ? 08.0.80f (non-UFI) ? 08.0.95ca (UFI)
