Root Cause
Switch Disconnected on the RUCKUS Unleashed system. Switch not reachable on the network: The ICX-7150-C12P Switch is not on the same LAN or its IP is not pingable from the Unleashed Master AP. Unsupported firmware version: Switch firmware is below UFI 08.0.90, which is required for Unleashed integration. Automatic Switch Approval disabled: The Unleashed system is not set to automatically approve new switches. Incorrect admin credentials: Wrong username or password for the switch or Unleashed system. Network restrictions/firewall issues: SSH or management ports (TCP 22) blocked between Master AP and switch. Unleashed system not set up properly: The Unleashed network isn’t configured or accessible.Workaround
-
Verify the switch is powered on and connected to the same LAN as the Master AP.
-
Check IP connectivity: Ping the switch from the Master AP or a PC on the same network.
-
Ensure the switch is running supported firmware (UFI 08.0.90+).
-
Confirm admin credentials (username/password) are correct for the switch and Unleashed system.
-
Make sure Automatic Switch Approval is enabled in Unleashed (Admin & Services ? System info).
-
Check for firewall/port restrictions, especially TCP port 22 (SSH) between AP and switch.
-
If the switch shows disconnected, try rebooting the switch and retry adding it.
-
Verify that the Unleashed network is set up and accessible.
