The KVM-hosted vDP does not boot properly

Summary

The KVM-hosted vDP does not boot properly when the Disk Bus type is set to VirtIO

Question

An I/O error occurs during startup, preventing the vDP from booting properly after the upgrade to R6.1.2p5.

Customer Environment

KVM vDP R6.1.2p5 VirtIO

Root Cause

This is due to the base operating system being changed from CentOS to Rocky Linux, which introduced stricter enforcement of block size validation during disk write operations.

Resolution

This behavior is observed exclusively in KVM environments. As a workaround, changing the disk bus type from VirtIO to SCSI resolves the issue.
