URL Filtering requires an active and sufficient URL Filtering license to function. Follow the steps below to activate and apply the license using the latest Unleashed UI.

Step 1: Obtain the Unleashed ID (New UI)

1. Log in to the Unleashed Web UI
   Using IP Address 
2. Navigate to:
   System Settings ? System ? System Info
3. Locate the Unleashed ID
4. Click Copy

Step 2: Activate the URL Filtering License (Support Portal)

1. Open the Support Purchase Acknowledgement (SPA) email received from RUCKUS / Distributor
    

   Dear Valued Customer: Thank you for purchasing a Ruckus Wireless Support Contract. What is this? 2. Click the Activation Code link
   
3. Log in to https://support.ruckuswireless.com
   
   
4. Accept the Terms & Conditions and click Activate Purchase  
   
   
5. Click the product hyperlink to view license details (XXX-URL1-XXXX )
6. Enter the Unleashed ID and click Validate
   
   
7. Select the device model and click Register Device & Bind to Support
   
   

Once completed, the URL Filtering license will be bound to the Unleashed ID.
 

Step 3: Download the URL License File

Note: License file generation may take up to 24 hours after activation.

1. Log in to the Support Portal
   
    
2. Navigate to:
   Warranty & RMA and select"Support Service" Missing or Expiring. 
   
   
    
3. Enter the Unleashed ID
   
   
    
4. Click on Submit to download the entitlement file (.SPT file type)
   
   

Step 4: Apply the License on Unleashed (Latest UI)

1. Go to:
   Security ? URL Filtering ? License
   
   
2. Choose one of the following:

Option A: Renew Services Online (Recommended)

• Click Renew Services Online to retrieve the license automatically
  
  

Option B: Update Services by File

• Upload the downloaded .SPT license file
  
  
   
• Confirm license upgrade. 
  
  

3. Confirm the license is added successfully
   
   

Step 5: Verify License Status

• License count matches purchased quantity. 
   
• URL Filtering status shows Enabled

  Steps to Enable URL Filtering on a Wi?Fi Network (RUCKUS Unleashed)

  1. Go to WiFi ? Wi?Fi Networks.
     
     
  2. From the Wi?Fi Networks List, select the required network (SSID).
  3. Click Edit.
     
     
  4. Click Advanced Options.
  5. Navigate to the Access Control section.
  6. Enable URL Filtering.
     
     
      
  7. Select a URL Filtering Profile from the list
     (Note: A profile must be created first under Admin & Services ? Services ? URL Filtering ? Profiles).
     
     
      
  8. Click Apply to save the configuration.
