REQUIREMENTS FOR UPGRADING TO IOT VERSION 1.5
In this release, Ruckus is introducing a new licensing feature that may require your action to enable your IoT 1.5 network:
1) For previously installed /running IoT network, you must first upgrade to version 1.4. From there you can obtain a vRIoT serial number following KBA-10095.
2) You will then need to purchase IoT AP licenses to minimally cover your current number of APs in your IoT network, by contacting your Ruckus Representative, https://support.ruckuswireless.com/buy_support .
3) Upgrade your vRIoT server to version 1.5, and then install your IoT licenses Following the Ruckus IoT Controller Software Installation Guide,1.5, under Managing a License section.
4) If this is a fresh installation of 1.5 or greater, you will be allowed to connect up to 5 APs, without a license for up to 90 days, but a sales order will be required for additional time and capacity.
