RUCKUS Virtual Edge Getting Started Guide, 2.2.0
Applicable To The Following Products
RUCKUS™ Edge 144 (Edge-144) is a next-generation services platform designed to simplify the deployment and management of network services at the customer edge. The first available service is SD-LAN, which leverages VXLAN tunneling to streamline data path creation across the network. The upcoming Personal Identity Networks (PIN) service will enable the automated creation and deployment of personal network segments, providing end users with their own private network while maintaining ease of management for network administrators. RUCKUS Edge supports both a 2-node active-standby cluster and a 4-node active-active cluster configuration, allowing for flexible high-availability solutions. The Edge-144 can manage up to 2,500 Wi-Fi access points, making it a robust platform for large-scale deployments.
At its core, the RUCKUS Edge Services Delivery Platform brings the power of the RUCKUS One cloud platform to the edge of the network. By doing so, it transforms how services are deployed and managed, enabling organizations to deliver high-performance, low-latency experiences right where they're needed most—whether that’s in a university campus, a hotel room, or an apartment complex.
RUCKUS Edge virtual appliances are targeted at organizations with specialized IT teams that have expertise in deploying a virtualized infrastructure across central and on-site locations.
